1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using mekongdelta.boats ("the Site"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms from time to time; the version published here is the one in force, and the effective date above tells you when it last changed.
2. Independent status — not an official website
The Site is not the official website of any tour operator, boat company, cruise line, port authority, tourism board or government agency in Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Myanmar, China or elsewhere. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting on behalf of any such entity.
Names of places, attractions, operators and products are used descriptively, for identification and editorial purposes only. All trade marks and trade names referred to remain the property of their respective owners.
3. We do not sell tickets or tours
The Site provides information. It does not sell, resell, broker or process any travel product. We do not take payments, hold funds, issue tickets or vouchers, confirm reservations, or operate vehicles, boats or tours.
Where the Site links to a booking page, you leave the Site and transact with a third party — principally GetYourGuide Deutschland GmbH and, through it, the licensed local operators listed on its platform. Any resulting contract is between you and those parties. Their terms and conditions, privacy policy, cancellation rules and customer-service processes apply, and you should read them before booking.
4. Affiliate disclosure
The Site participates in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme. Links to GetYourGuide on this Site carry an affiliate identifier, and we may earn a commission on qualifying bookings made after you follow such a link. This does not increase the price you pay. Affiliate links are marked with rel="nofollow sponsored" in the page source and are disclosed on the pages where they appear.
Commission arrangements do not determine our editorial recommendations. We accept no payment for placement, ranking or favourable coverage.
5. Accuracy of information
We take reasonable care to publish accurate, current information, and we review pages periodically — the "last reviewed" date on each page shows when. Nevertheless:
- Prices, opening hours, departure times, itineraries, inclusions and availability change without notice and are outside our control.
- Figures quoted on the Site are indicative ranges collected from operator listings and public sources at the time of review, not quotations, offers or guarantees.
- Travel conditions, water levels, weather, transport schedules and border procedures vary and may differ materially from what is described here.
- You must verify current details with the operator, the booking platform or the relevant authority before making travel decisions or payments.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
6. No professional advice
Nothing on the Site constitutes professional advice of any kind. In particular, it is not legal advice, medical or health advice, immigration or visa advice, insurance advice, or financial advice. Content concerning visas, border crossings, health risks, water safety and insurance is general background information only. Consult the relevant authority or a qualified professional for your circumstances and nationality.
7. Travel risk and personal safety
River travel, boats, cycling, swimming, heat and rural roads carry inherent risks. You are solely responsible for assessing your own fitness, competence and safety, for the equipment provided to you by third parties (including life jackets), for obtaining suitable travel insurance, and for complying with local law and operator instructions. We accept no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage arising from activities described on the Site.
8. Third-party links and embedded content
The Site links to and embeds content from third parties, including booking widgets supplied by GetYourGuide and web fonts supplied by Google. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security or practices. Links do not imply endorsement of the linked party.
9. Intellectual property
The text, layout, design, code, logo and original graphics of the Site are our property or are licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and related rights. You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the source page.
You may not republish substantial parts of the Site, reproduce it wholesale, present our content as your own, or use it to train, fine-tune or otherwise develop commercial machine-learning systems without our written permission. Automated bulk scraping that imposes an unreasonable load on the Site is not permitted.
Photographs on the Site are used under Creative Commons licences or are in the public domain and remain the property of their respective authors. Each is attributed on our photo credits page, and reuse is governed by the licence attached to that individual image, not by these terms.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Site to: break any applicable law; attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any connected system; introduce malicious code; interfere with its operation or availability; or misrepresent your identity or affiliation in correspondence with us.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any information on it. This includes, without limitation, missed departures, cancelled tours, price differences, travel disruption, injury, and losses arising from reliance on information that has changed since publication.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
12. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against any claim, loss or expense arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Site.
13. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
14. Changes and availability
We may change, suspend, restrict or discontinue the Site or any part of it at any time, without notice and without liability. We may also revise these terms; continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance of it.
15. Language
The Site is published in several languages. These Terms of Use are published in English only, and the English text governs. Translations of editorial pages are provided for convenience; where a translation and the English original conflict, the English original prevails.
16. Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
